Nicholas Mills
Founder & CEO

Nick graduated from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019. He is an avid golfer with a handicap that hovers around scratch. He is the proud founder and CEO of Albatross NFT as he strives to help golfers connect to their favorite golf courses in an innovative fashion.

Tim Musick
VP of Business Development

T. Musick has over 7 years experience in digital assets, with a strong background in blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency market. Additionally, he serves as an Advisor for startup companies, with an expertise in Business Development providing guidance to partnerships and growth initiatives. Having served in the US Military he brings a disciplined and strategic approach to the team while providing a unique skill set that positions Albatross well for success.

Chris Thompson
CTO

Chris graduated from UNC with a bachelors degree in Physics and a minor in computer science. After spending time as an market analyst focused on commodities, he transitioned into a full-stack developer that specializes in artificial intelligence and machine learning. His previous projects were focused on leveraging a smart contract's utility economics to represent real-world commodities.

Stephen Ludwig
Social Outreach & Marketing

Stephen Ludwig is a social media influencer who goes by the moniker "stevoluddy" on all socials. Stevo showcases his love for golf by posting clips of his unique swing to over 4 million followers. His network and experience within the social media landscape will help formulate a digital marketing strategy that will capture the vision of Albatross.

Jeremy Maragno
Product Manager

Jeremy graduated from the Belk College of Business School at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2019 with degrees in Business Management and MIS. He picked up the game of golf several years ago and instantly fell in love with it. Jeremy looks to utilize his love for golf and NFTs to enhance the experience of golfers at golf resorts.

Mac Hereford
Brand Consultant

Mac Hereford is a 26 year old media/marketing consultant and works as a social media influencer. Mac works behind the scenes for some of your favorite golf content across social media. He’s partnered with some of the biggest brands across the country and loves the game of golf.

Developer

Introducing an innovative mobile developer with nearly a decade of expertise in the field, specializing in emerging technologies such as blockchain and automation. With a proven track record of developing award-winning mobile applications, Pramod's  passion for creating seamless and dynamic user experiences shines through in every project. His technical prowess and creative mindset make him a valuable asset to any team, consistently pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of software development.

Our Story


The story of Albatross started as our founder Nick Mills began preparing for a 24 man father son trip to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in September of 2022. His preparation consisted of watching hours of videos on Youtube to prepare himself for the intricacies of each course and reading “The Nature of the Game: Links Golf at Bandon Dunes and Far Beyond”, Mike Keiser’s second novel. As he watched and learned more about what to expect on his trip to arguably one of the greatest golf resorts ever created, he looked for ways to connect to the resort off property.

During this time in early to mid 2022, popular sports franchises, leagues and athletes continued to become more infatuated with utilizing NFTs in their own way. While Nick had always been interested in cryptocurrencies and NFTs, he never thought he would get involved in the space in a professional capacity. Until an idea popped into his head. Why not give the opportunity for the common golfer to own a unique piece of some of the greatest golf courses ever created? And thus, Albatross was born.

Albatross started in late 2022 with a simple mission in mind: “To connect the worldwide golf community to prestigious golf courses around the world in a way that has never been possible before.” Challenges for Albatross have popped up behind every corner. Who will be on the team? Who will we target as a partner? How will we build the community of golf enthusiasts? The list of challenges was never ending. As we pushed to tackle each obstacle, we realized what an incredible idea we had. Each golf course around the world, whether it be a local muni in a town of 10,000 people or a top 100 golf course in the world has admirers of all kinds for its kinks and triumphs. We realized we could provide value for both the common golfer and the golf course by offering our services and partnership to them respectfully. All the while satisfying our pledged duty to give back to the environments surrounding each of our partnered courses. As Albatross moves forward to create a network of partnered courses around the world, we strive to grow our community and recognize their wishes in attempts to connect to the courses in unprecedented ways.

Our Environmental Commitment


Albatross is committed to sustainability and improving the health of the planet. As our partnered courses are deeply embedded into nature, we aim to assist in any conservation efforts they might undertake on and off their properties. To show our commitment to the cause, we pledge that each collection will incorporate a donation to charities/organizations focused around the preservation of the environment. The recipient(s) of the money raised will be decided in collaboration with our golf course partners and the Albatross community.

At each of our partnered golf courses/resorts, Albatross will host a Community tournament to bring the URL to the IRL. Connect with other community members in person at our prestigious golf courses!
